Our Story and Values
Mike Nelson: Owner & Project Manager
I started my career in 1992 for a construction supply company and did so for 13 years. In 2006, I was befriended and hired by a very high end remodeler in the greater Atlanta area and proudly served him and his company until 2016.
After departing and going back into construction supply operations for the next 7 years, a corporate downsizing led me back to the remodeling sector. After working with another group I decided that starting my own brand was the direction I wanted to go.
There are several different reasons why I decided to open my own business. First and foremost, it’s about the customers and not about the numbers. This is a conflict I had with both companies. “Go cheap and finish high”. I understand their concept, but what I always say is “I don’t want you to be happy just the day I leave, I want you to be happy 5 years down the line”.
When someone hires me, I have a moral and monetary duty to make sure that their vision is brought to life as close as possible. There is no such thing as perfect, but we can achieve a beautiful project as close to it as possible.
Jordan Keevil: Owner & Operations
My very first experience in a professional career started with a valve manufacturer 25 years ago. As an engineer, I was involved in many different projects and drafted a multitude of tooling, safety and production designs. My passion for construction moved me into the lumber and building materials sector where I honed my skills in manufacturing, supply and logistics. The commercial construction sector found me as I spent years working with clients producing wonderful multifamily, hospitality and healthcare spaces. An opportunity came along to be part of the growth of a new supply company in the Atlanta market. I jumped at the idea of growing a small company and bringing it into the fold.
After working for a variety of clients over the years I have become a very passionate client advocate. I have seen the visions of many people on both sides of the table. The vision of Home Time Design is to create an experience with our clients that is knowledgeable but also comfortable. Our desire is to build lifelong clients and not one time customers.
